Spotify and audio

Serein reads playback metadata from Spotify for Mac and temporarily analyzes outgoing Spotify audio to animate its visualizer. Audio samples are not recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Trial and licensing

Trial and license state is stored on your Mac. License activation sends your license key, app version, and a random installation identifier to Serein’s licensing service. It does not send a serial number, user name, or hardware fingerprint.

Payments

Polar handles paid and zero-total checkout, payment details, taxes, receipts, invoices, refunds, and license delivery. Serein never receives card details.

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, Serein stores the email address you submit so it can send you product availability updates. You can ask for it to be removed at any time by contacting support.

Feedback

If you send feedback, Serein stores the message, category, and any optional email address or screenshot you provide in private product feedback storage so it can be reviewed and acted on. You can ask for a submission to be removed at any time by contacting support.

Telemetry and retention

Serein ships without product analytics or marketing telemetry. Local settings remain until you remove the app’s data. Polar retains commerce records under its own policies and legal obligations.
